Hourly chauffeur in South Beach: hold one driver and SUV for a 5-hour block from $450, no per-stop meter, tolls and parking covered.
South Beach was not built for driving yourself. The streets are one-way, valet fills before dark, resident-permit zones eat the free spots, and the walk from a legal space to Ocean Drive can undo a good outfit. A driver held by the hour sidesteps all of it: you get out at the door, the car disappears to handle its own parking, and it comes back on a text.
The rate covers the vehicle and its driver for a five-hour block, priced for the whole car rather than by the head.
| Vehicle | Fits | 5-hour rate | Works out to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Black SUV | Up to 5 | $450 | $90/hr |
| Luxurious SUV | Up to 6 | $700 | $140/hr |
| Van | 6 to 9 | $600 | $120/hr |
| Van | 10 to 14 | $700 | $140/hr |
Reservations start at five hours; nothing shorter exists. Across that window the driver stays assigned to you, whether the car is rolling down Collins or waiting while you have a two-hour dinner at a Lincoln Road restaurant. The clock does not pause and it does not restart between stops — you have paid for the span, and how you fill it is up to you. Nights that stretch past the fifth hour can often keep the same driver on, with each added hour charged at the rate you began with and squared up at the end.
Everything on the island funnels through two bridges. The MacArthur Causeway feeds in from downtown on the 395, and the Julia Tuttle drops you higher up near 41st Street from the 195; a driver who knows the beach picks the one that fits your destination and the hour, because a wrong choice at 6 p.m. costs twenty minutes. Once across, the grid turns rigid — Ocean Drive, Collins Avenue, and Washington Avenue each run one direction through the core, and Alton Road handles the bay side.
Valet is the real friction. The Ocean Drive hotels have almost no curb of their own, so a chauffeur drops on Collins or a numbered cross street and the walk stays short. For Lincoln Road, which is a pedestrian mall closed to cars, the pickup point is the parking edge at the end of the block — the driver names the corner in advance so nobody wanders looking for the car. Espanola Way and the Lummus Park stretch along Ocean Drive have loading limits that tighten at night; we plan around them rather than idling illegally.
Late pickups after the clubs are where the by-the-hour model pays off. Instead of standing in a surge-priced rideshare scrum at 2 a.m., your driver is already parked nearby and pulls up when you message. If the block includes a hop to a Star Island gate or a run back over a causeway to a downtown hotel, the toll, where one exists, is inside your rate.
Book through WhatsApp. Half the total, paid by Venmo, Zelle, or a secure card link, reserves your date; the other half is handed to the driver on the day, and cash works for that portion. Card payments add a 4% processing fee. A cancellation more than 24 hours ahead earns a full refund of the deposit; closer than that, it is non-refundable. We run 24/7, with no surcharge on blocks beginning between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. and a modest evening amount outside that window, always confirmed before you commit.
Usually on Collins or a numbered side street rather than Ocean Drive itself, since the drive has little legal curb. The driver names the exact corner when you book.
Yes. Waiting time is part of the block, so the driver parks nearby and returns when you text, even late at night.
Whichever fits your route and the traffic — MacArthur for the south end, Julia Tuttle for mid-beach and up. The driver decides in the moment.
It is. Overnight blocks run at any hour; a start outside 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. adds the evening amount, stated up front.
The 6-to-9 van at $600 for the five-hour block. Ten to fourteen step up to the larger van at $700.
