This page describes what Magic City Chauffeurs collects when you book a car, why we hold it, and who it reaches. The short version: we ask for only what a driver needs to find you and complete the ride, and we don’t sell it.
Almost everything we hold comes straight from you when you arrange a ride: your name, the phone number you message or call from, an email address if you write to us, and the details of the trip itself — pickup point, stops, date, hours, group size, and any note about child seats or a pet. When you pay, a deposit moves through Venmo, Zelle, or a secure card link; we see enough to confirm the payment cleared, and the card details themselves are handled by the payment service, not stored by us.
The information exists to run your booking and nothing more: to quote the right vehicle, confirm and hold your date, give your driver the pickup and stops, reach you if a plan shifts, and settle the balance. We may also keep a basic record of past trips so a returning rider doesn’t have to re-explain everything, and so we can honor the cancellation and refund terms.
Your trip details go to the driver assigned to your block, because that driver needs your name, number, and route to do the job. Payment information passes through the processor you choose to complete the transaction. Beyond that, we do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, and we don’t hand it to third parties for their own marketing.
Because most bookings happen over WhatsApp, phone, or email, the messages you send us also live on those services under their own privacy practices. That is outside our control, so use the channel you’re comfortable with; if you’d rather not send something in writing, tell us on a call.
We hold booking records only as long as there’s a reason to — to complete your trip, resolve a payment or refund, and keep a light history for repeat service. When a record no longer serves any of those, we remove it.
